Minister Jacques Lewis was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to J.C. Jones and Mary Lewis. He began his vocal conquest at the age of three, because of being blessed with multiple musical talents he developed a love for the drums, thus catapulting his illustrious vocal and musical career.
By the age of thirteen he was a featured trombonist for world renown Jazz great Dizzy Gillespie of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lakes Michigan.
After numerous years of perfecting his musical and vocal crafts by performing in various state competitions in the state of Michigan before taking his musical exploits to the city of Angels, Los Angeles, California.
In December of 1990 he could no longer ignore Gods' voice and humbly accepted the call to the ministry to preach Gods' Gospel and tell the good news of his son Jesus the Christ.
Minister Lewis, zealously and emphatically shares the Gospel of Jesus the Christ through music and song with all who desires to hear Gods word.
Minister Lewis' resume reverberates with several well known artist from both the secular and spiritual genres' in the persons of former Miss America, stage and TV star; Vanessa Williams, Hip-hop artists; Ice Cub, and Kurupt, Grammy & Stellar award winner; Dr. Marvin Sapp, Gospel artists; Dimitra Champ, Tim "Bishop" Brown, organist Tony WIlkens, the late Rev. Timothy Wright, Rev. Minister Lewis also hold the distinction of performing at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los, Angeles.having played the lead role of Sam Cooke in the musical stage play "The Inquest of Sam Cooke".
Minister Lewis is presently associate minister and minister of music at his chosen place of worship.
Minister Lewis incessantly reminds his followers that "I am a minister who sings, not a singer who preaches"! He also shares this relative to his ministry; "If the gifts that God has given me can bring someone to Christ, then I have done what I was called to do".
